The Gizmodo Gallery was a pop-up showcase of tech’s most innovative products for creative minds, culture hounds, and gadget aficionados. Gizmodo gadget gurus curated a captivating collection of interactive objects and visualizations for public exploration. As the exclusive partner of the Gizmodo Gallery, a Range Rover Evoque was showcased front and center for cultured and sophisticated attendees in the tech sphere to interact with.

AMC's The Walking Dead Undead Carnival

AMC's The Walking Dead joined forces with io9 for the Undead Carnival — a zombie-themed soiree at the notorious NYC club The Box. The crowd was treated to bespoke cocktails, zombie body painting, and undead-themed munchies. The best dressed zombies were chosen by io9 editors to win a copy of season one of The Walking Dead. io9's promoted the Undead Carnival alongside Roadblocks for The Walking Dead.

Smartwater Purora

smartwater came to us looking for a way to present their brand as a showcase of style with substance. We created Purora, a rocking smartwater party centered around custom art to attract art-lovers and chic party people alike. Multi-sensory artist Ryan V. Brennan transformed Gawker’s NoLita rooftop into a glowing spectacle as partygoers took in the surreal installation, while quenching their thirst with cases of smartwater.

Silent Disco

Gawker’s annual silent disco invites people to dance the night away to the tune of their own music — literally. Guests get to rock out with their own set of dual-channel headphones, so they can tune into the event’s headliner DJ or a crowdsourced playlist. Social media-driven GIF photo booths, creative cocktails, and delicious food compliment the all-night dance party. Hornitos Hamptons House

Hornitos and Gawker hosted a summer bash, with a few lucky readers, at our Hamptons Beach House. Readers were challenged to submit their IQ – Instigator Quotient – to score a coveted invite to the tequila festivities. Guests relaxed poolside, frolicked on the beach, and enjoyed an array of tasty Hornitos Tequila beverages.

The Sensory Effect - NY Tech Meetup

Despite the 97-degree weather, tech enthusiasts flocked to Gawker Media HQ for The Sensory Effect, a special NY Tech Meetup in partnership with Gizmodo and Internet Explorer 9. The evening’s keynote speaker was renowned futurist Ray Kurzweil, who gave a mind-bending talk on the Singularity. The sensory overload was helped along by cocktails that looked like lab experiments and innovative culinary bites. The evening was live-streamed to thousands on Gizmodo.
